Floral Wreath

A Heart shaped wreath made with paper roses and tissue paper flowers.

I used a heart shaped template  and traced it out on a cardboard. Then,  I decorated it with some roses made out of paper and some flowers made out of tissue papers.

I added a small heart in the center with the sentiment " You are my Milk Chocolate ". Then I used a ribbon to hang it.

Christmas wreath

I would like to share a Christmas wreath made with recycled materials.I have used a waste CD as a base for the wreath.

I made the green leaves with paper and stuck them to the cd. Then I made some ornaments, and again those ornaments were also made by cutting the cd. I colored them.

I made some paper roses and added them to the wreath.

And finally, I added some glitter. Used a ribbon to hang the wreath.

Wreath made out of Plastic Grocery bag flowers

Materials needed:

Plastic Grocery bags
Cardboard
Scissors
A small piece of twine for hanging the wreath
Glue
Pista shells  / colourful beads , colourful stones

Method to make Flowers:

Flatten the Plastic bag.

Cut the handles and the bottom of the plastic bag.Push the pleats out and flatten the bag.

Fold the bag 4 times and cut along the folds. You will now have eight strips of paper.

Accordion fold / Fan fold the strips.

Trim the ends either angled for a spiked effect or rounded for a petal- like effect. Secure the centre with rubber band or a piece of thread.

Open each folded layer towards the centre until all the layers of the flower are done.

Fluff  the  layers. Do as many flowers as you need.

Now the  flowers are done.

For the Wreath:

Cut out the Circle from the cardboard. (app. 12 inches)

Mark the centre of the cardboard (approximately).

Cut out a small circle in the centre. (app.  6 inches)

Now the base for the wreath is ready.

Start  sticking the flowers to the cardbord.

Cover the entire circle cardboard with the flowers made.

We can use colourful beads , stones or even coloured pista shells  for decorating.

Wreath made of Egg carton flowers

Materials Needed:

egg cartons
Cardboard
Acrylic colors / water color

Procedure:

Cut the cardboard in the form of a ring or you can use any circular object. Here I have used the ring from the diaper pail  refill. We can use a Styrofoam wreath ring too.

Cut out the individual cups egg carton.

Cut the petals in the egg carton.

Just bend the ends of each petal, so that the flower looks realistic.

Now paint them with your favorite colors.

Paste them in the cardboard ring.
