Salt dough recipe:

Mix 1 cup of maida / All Purpose flour and 1/2 cup of table salt together. Add warm water and knead as we do for the chapathi dough. Then, you can make the impressions or make ornaments.

 It is difficult to decorate the carpeted floor with rice flour rangoli. Here is an alternative way to decorate home and puja rooms with rangolis drawn on rocks and pebbles.

I have used acrylic paints to draw the kolam and free hand rangoli.
