Recycled magazine wall decor

Here is my try on making a wall decor with recycled magazines. I have used the rolled magazine strips as the base. Then I made some paper flowers and attached to it.



This is the candy I had used for inspiration.

Recycled Magazine Silhouette

My first try on recycled magazine silhouette. I have used old magazine pages to create this one. 

I rolled the strips of newspapers and arranged them on the template picture.

I have chosen the picture of a Kangaroo as the template.

Here is the final look.

Simple wall decor

A simple wall decor made with recycled magazine pages.I made different shapes like circles, triangles and tear-drop shapes with the magazine pages. Then, I arranged them in such a way they form a beautiful pattern.

Then, I made some roses with waste egg carton and painted them. I attached those  roses to the centre piece.
The wall hanging is done.

Recycled Newspaper / Magazine paper Cycle

Cycle made with recycled newspapers or magazine pages.
The flowers in the cycle basket were also made with recycled magazine papers.


Steps Involved :

1. Take a sheet of paper and cut it into strips and weave it into a mat.
    Fold the mat into cylindrical shape. Paste a cardboard at the bottom of  the cylinder.
    Now the basket is done.

2. Roll a sheet of paper into a stick and make the rim and handle bar of the cycle.

3. Roll sheets of paper into small discs and use them as the wheels for the cycle.

4. Fill the basket with the flowers / candies of your choice.

Wall Hanging

I made this simple wall hanging with a waste cardboard. 
The cardboard was decorated with the magazine paper roll.
The Small flowers were made from waste cereal box cardboard and painted.
The butterflies were made with the sponge sheet that is used in packaging.
The flower at the bottom was made with the tissue roll. I had painted it white.

Paper Pear



This pear was made of waste magazine.

Draw half pear shape in the bound edge of an old book or magazine.

Cut them out with a knife.

Color the edges of the pages with green.

Take a small piece of  a  twig and stick it to the top of the pear.

Draw a small leaf in a paper / felt / a thin cardboard and stick it to the pear.

Now a Paper Pear is done.

Pen Holder / Utility holder using Recycled Magazines

I made this pen holder using recycled magazines. The magazine pages ate rolled up and pasted to an empty  salt  container.

The container like this was transformed into  a pen holder using old magazines.

Pen stand decoration made with magazines


Materials Needed:

              Salt tin or any recycled tin can
              Magazines
              Glue
              Scissors

Procedure:

             Seperate the pages from the magazine. 
             Roll up the magazine pages.
             Paste the end of the page once rolling is done.
             Cut them into small pieces.  
             Paste the pieces that we have cut down to the tin can / salt container.
             Cover the entire tin with the rolled up magazine pieces.
             Done ! 

Now we can use this as a flower vase / a pen stand.

Folded Paper Tree
